In a shocking incident in Solapur, Maharashtra, a 3-year-old girl was allegedly strangled to death by her stepmother. The incident occurred in Vadval, located in the Mohol taluka of the Solapur district. The stepmother has been arrested by the police.
According to police reports, the accused woman lived in a rented house in the Vadval Stop area with her husband and his two daughters from his first marriage. For some time, the woman had been allegedly mistreating both of her stepdaughters over trivial matters. The reasons for the abuse included the child's refusal to eat or attend school.
On the morning of Friday, August 1st, 2025, around 10:30 AM, the stepmother allegedly became enraged. In a fit of anger, she strangled the 3-year-old girl.
Following the incident, a female police officer, Ashwini Gholap, filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a murder case against the stepmother at the Mohol police station. The arrest of the stepmother has been made, and investigations are currently underway.
The tragic death of the young girl has resulted in widespread grief in the community, with many calling for the strictest possible punishment for the accused.
