The aftermath of a wedding night took a dramatic turn in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, when a bride jumped from a balcony after her groom discovered a shocking secret about her past. However, instead of a tragic end, the story took an unexpected twist as she landed on a pile of soft cushions that a guest had brought for the wedding, cushioning her fall.

According to reports, the groom, Bharat, became suspicious of his new bride, Suman Pandey, after the wedding ceremony. He discovered documents that revealed she was already married and had a history of defrauding men through marriage. Confronted with this information, Suman locked Bharat in the room and attempted to escape.

In a desperate attempt to flee, she leaped from the balcony, seemingly heading towards a fatal plunge. However, fate intervened in the form of some cushions that a guest had brought as a gift. Suman landed on the soft pile, breaking both her legs but surviving the fall.

The incident led to the exposure of a larger scheme involving Suman and her accomplices, who allegedly targeted unsuspecting men for financial gain through fraudulent marriages. Bharat reported the incident to the police, accusing Suman and six others of fraud. He explained that a man named Nandkishore, a family friend, had introduced him to Suman, promising a suitable match.

Further investigation revealed that Suman had provided false documents at the time of the wedding, claiming to be unmarried. Police investigations revealed that Suman Pandey is originally from Aurangabad, Bihar, while one of her accomplices, Sandeep Sharma, is from Kaushambi, UP.

While this incident had a relatively positive outcome, there have been incidents of brides falling from balconies with tragic results. In St. Petersburg, Russia, Ksenia Vodyanitskaya, 23, died after falling from the 15th floor of her apartment building on her wedding night. Initial assessments indicated it was an accident, but investigations are still ongoing. Similarly, in Spain, a newlywed, Kirsty Maxwell, fell to her death from a balcony. Her family believes she jumped to escape a potential assault.
