Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has recently stated that India led the world for 3,000 years without conflict, highlighting the nation's civilizational strength and its potential to offer solutions to global problems.

Bhagwat made this statement at a book launch event in Indore, where he credited India's ancestors for promoting harmony and unity, even as technology and society advanced. He supported his point by quoting historian William Dalrymple. He emphasized that during the 3,000 years India was a world leader, there was no global conflict. He attributed conflicts in the world to personal interests, which he said were responsible for all problems.

Bhagwat also dismissed Winston Churchill's prediction that India would break apart after independence, asserting that the country's unity has only grown stronger. He pointed out that while Churchill anticipated India's division, England itself is now nearing division, but India will continue to move forward and reunite. He added that India is steadily moving ahead on the path of development and has confounded everyone's expectations.

Bhagwat highlighted India's "solid" faith rooted in logic and experience. He said that the faith that exists in India is based on direct perception (knowledge) and evidence. He argued that India offers a path to happiness that global experiments haven't matched, especially after Covid-19. He also noted that everyone is an actor in the drama of life and must play their part, and that their true selves would only emerge when the drama concludes.

In a separate event in Nagpur, Bhagwat emphasized the interconnectedness of devotion to God and patriotism in India, stating they are inseparable. He asserted that genuine devotion leads to patriotism and vice versa, highlighting it as an experiential truth. He said that the one who practices true devotion will also practice patriotism and the one who practices patriotism with authenticity will be made to practice devotion to God by the Lord.

Bhagwat has also indirectly addressed the tariffs imposed on India by the US, suggesting that some countries are imposing tariffs on India out of fear of its growing strength. He said that there will be no insecurity if everyone realises they are children of one god. He added that the world needs a solution today and India is capable of finding solutions to the world's problems and showing the way forward. He emphasized that shifting human attitudes from "me" to "us" could resolve many challenges.
