Actress Amber Heard has announced the arrival of her twins, Agnes and Ocean, in a Mother's Day social media post. The 39-year-old actress shared the news on Sunday, stating that she is now a mother of three. Heard also has a 4-year-old daughter named Oonagh.
In the Instagram post, which included a photo of the twins' tiny feet, Heard wrote, "Mother's Day 2025 will be one I'll never forget,". She added, "This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I've strived to build for years". A spokesperson for Heard told People magazine that "mama and babies are enjoying every minute" and that older sister Oonagh is "happily running the show".
Heard has been open about her journey to motherhood. When she announced the birth of her first child, Oonagh, in 2021, she explained that she had decided four years prior that she wanted to have a child on her own terms. In the recent Instagram post, Heard reflected on the experience, writing, "Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life". She also expressed her gratitude for being able to "choose this responsibly and thoughtfully".
Heard also extended her love to other mothers, stating, "To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you. Love always".
In December 2024, People exclusively reported that Heard was expecting another child. At the time, her rep said that the star was "delighted" both for herself and Oonagh. Heard has shared periodic updates about her daughter and motherhood, including posts calling herself "just the mom and the dad" and a "multitasking mama".
Heard, who now resides in Spain, had previously stated that becoming a mother on her own terms was the "most humbling experience" of her life. She expressed her appreciation for the radical notion of women thinking about their destinies in this way, hoping it becomes normalized to desire a child without needing a ring.
The announcement comes after Heard's high-profile legal battles with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
