A tragic incident in Delhi's Nizamuddin area has resulted in the death of Asif Qureshi, cousin of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, following a dispute over parking. The incident occurred on Thursday night in the Jangpura Bhogal market lane. Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder.
According to reports, the altercation began when Asif Qureshi, 42, asked two men to move their scooter, which was parked in front of his house entrance. The two men, identified as Ujjwal, 19, and Gautam, 18, reportedly left the scene but returned shortly after with a sharp object. They attacked Asif, inflicting a fatal chest wound.
Asif was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. His wife, Shaheen, recounted the horrifying incident, stating that the neighbor abused and threatened Asif when he requested them to move the scooter. She added that the men returned and stabbed Asif with a sharp weapon. Saleem Qureshi, Huma Qureshi's father and Asif's uncle, described the event, saying the two men parked a scooter in front of the house, and when Asif asked them to move it, a verbal argument escalated into a physical fight, leading to his nephew's death.
The Delhi Police have registered a case under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Both accused have been arrested, and the police have seized the weapon used in the crime. Authorities have stated that previous arguments over parking had occurred between Asif and the accused. The two accused lived a few meters away from Asif's residence.
