Ram Charan's rugged transformation for Peddi climax shoot in Hyderabad thrills fans: A sneak peek into the action.

Ram Charan has set social media abuzz with his intense and rugged new look as the climax shoot for his upcoming film, Peddi, commenced in Hyderabad. The pan-Indian movie, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is slated for release on March 27, 2026.

The actor, known for his dedication to his roles, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure Peddi reaches audiences exactly on the announced release date. Sources indicate that the climax sequences are being filmed on a massive set erected specifically for the purpose in Hyderabad. High-octane action scenes involving Ram Charan and other key cast members are being shot under tight schedules, emphasizing the project's scale and ambition.

Ram Charan's transformation for Peddi has been a topic of discussion since July 2025, when he shared a photo on Instagram showcasing his muscular physique, thick beard, and long hair tied in a man bun. He captioned the image, "Changeover for @peddimovie begins!! Pure grit. True joy". This "beast mode" look reflects the raw energy and intensity demanded by his character, an athlete-turned-laborer.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who is known for his debut film Uppena, Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Janhvi Kapoor as Peddi's love interest, Achiyamma, Shiva Rajkumar as Gournaidu, Jagapathi Babu as Appalasoori, and Divyenndu Sharma as Rambujji. Boman Irani, Viji Chandrasekhar and Satya also appear in the film.

The technical crew is equally impressive, with music composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman, cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, and editing by Navin Nooli.

Filming commenced in Mysuru in November 2024. Other filming locations include Hyderabad, Sri Lanka and Pune. In May 2025, a village resembling Vizianagram was constructed on the outskirts of Hyderabad for shooting dramatic sequences. A few scenes were filmed at the Bhoot Bungalow in Hyderabad. In December 2025, an action sequence choreographed by Sham Kaushal was filmed in a steel factory in Hyderabad.

The first half of Peddi has already been locked, and post-production work on the second half is progressing rapidly. Makers are aiming to wrap the talkie portion by the end of January, before shifting focus entirely to post-production, including visual effects and background score.

A teaser titled "Peddi First Shot" was released earlier this year, showcasing Ram Charan in a rugged avatar. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings as presenters. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film.

With production moving swiftly and post-production running parallel, expectations are high that Peddi will deliver a powerful cinematic experience.
