The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) is set to declare the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Class 10 results today, May 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Following the SSLC results, the HSE +1 (Higher Secondary Examination) results will be released at 2:00 PM on the same day. Students can access their results on the official websites: dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

How to Check Your Results Online

To check the TN SSLC Class 10 Result 2025, students need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit one of the official websites: tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in.
  2. Click on the link for "SSLC Exam Results 2025" or "Tamil Nadu Class 10th Public Exam Result 2025".
  3. Enter your registration number and date of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY.
  4. Click the "Submit" button.
  5. The TN SSLC Result 2025 will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Download and save the result for future reference. It is also advisable to take a printout of the same.

Apart from the official websites, students can also access their TN SSLC results through these alternative methods:

  • DigiLocker: The results will be available on the DigiLocker app and website (results.digilocker.gov.in).

Important Details

  • To access the results, students must have their registration number and date of birth ready.
  • The online mark sheet is provisional. Students should contact their schools for final certification if any discrepancies are noticed.
  • To pass the Class 10 SSLC exams, students must secure at least 35 marks per subject, including a minimum of 20 in theory. For subjects involving practical exams, a minimum of 20 out of 75 must be secured in theory and 15 out of 25 in the practical examination.

What to Do After the Results?

Candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for revaluation through apply1.tndge.org. Supplementary exams are expected to be held in June or July 2025 for those who need to improve their scores. The results for the supplementary exams are likely to be released in August.

Past Trends

Last year, the Tamil Nadu board declared the SSLC exams result on May 10, 2024. The overall pass percentage was 91.55%, a slight increase from 91.39% in 2023. A total of 8,94,264 students appeared for the TN board class 10 exam last year. The pass percentage among girls was 94.53% and for boys, it was 88.58%.

Note: The TNDGE has not released a list of toppers since 2018. Instead, the Directorate announces the district with the highest pass percentage.
