Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan recently set Birmingham, England, ablaze with her charm and energy during an event that has quickly gone viral. The actress, known for her iconic roles in films like "Jab We Met" and "3 Idiots", was in town on Saturday, September 6, 2025, to inaugurate the new Malabar Gold and Diamonds showroom, which is considered Europe's largest 22-carat gold store.

Thousands of fans flocked to Soho Road, some waiting for as long as four hours, just to catch a glimpse of their favorite star. The event turned into a massive fan frenzy, with admirers crowding the streets for nearly three hours. Road closures were in place on Soho Road between Rookery Road and Boulton Road from 1 PM to 4 PM to manage the crowds.

Kareena made a grand entrance, looking stunning in a silver sequin saree paired with a chic halter-neck blouse. Designed by Manish Malhotra, the saree exuded a glam, glittery vibe reminiscent of the 2000s. She complemented the outfit with dangling diamond earrings and matching bangles, keeping her makeup minimal with a bronze-toned look and soft peach lip color. Her sister, Karisma Kapoor, showed her admiration by calling her "My diamond".

Touched by the overwhelming support, Kareena greeted fans with warm smiles and waves. She paused to pose for photos and sign autographs, soaking in the cheers of fans chanting her name. A video circulating online showed the actress warmly greeting Zafar Iqbal, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham.

Once on stage, Kareena engaged the audience with a playful question and answer session. She then surprised everyone by breaking into a dance, performing to her hit song "Fevicol Se" from the film "Dabangg 2". Videos of her performance have gone viral, with fans sharing them across social media platforms. Another video showed her dancing to "Mere Photo Ko" from the same movie.

Addressing the audience, Kareena said, "Hello Birmingham! Thank you so much for all the love. It's always such a joy to see my fans. I performed here 15–20 years ago for a show called Heart Throbs, and it was such a hit that we came back for a second round! I love you guys!". She also acknowledged her long-standing relationship with the city, noting that she had filmed extensively in Birmingham for her recent project, "The Buckingham Murders".

The event was not just a celebration of Bollywood glamour but also a significant moment for the local community. A spokesperson from Soho Road BID said, "We are proud to welcome the grand launch of Malabar Gold & Diamonds here on Soho Road, with Bollywood A-Lister Kareena Kapoor Khan joining us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony". The actress is an ambassador for the Malabar Gold and Diamonds brand.

Kareena's influence extends beyond fashion and entertainment. She recently marked 25 years in the film industry and continues to be a formidable presence in cinema, with noteworthy performances in "Jaane Jaan" and "The Buckingham Murders". Her recent appearance in Birmingham is a testament to her enduring popularity and her ability to connect with fans across the globe.
