Director Abhinav Kashyap, known for helming the 2010 blockbuster "Dabangg," has recently made some strong statements against Salman Khan and his family. These accusations have resurfaced ahead of the film's 15th anniversary, adding fuel to a long-standing feud between Kashyap and the Khan family.

Kashyap has labeled Salman Khan a "gunda" (goon), "badtameez" (ill-mannered), and "ganda insaan" (bad person). He claims that Khan has not been genuinely interested in acting for the past 25 years, alleging that the superstar only "does a favor by turning up" and is more invested in the power of celebrity than the art of cinema. Kashyap stated that he realized this behavior during the making of "Dabangg".

The director also criticized the Khan family, asserting that they wield significant control over Bollywood and are vindictive. He alleges that they make life difficult for those who disagree with them and have sabotaged the careers of many in the film industry, including his own. Kashyap specifically accused Salman, along with his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail, and their father Salim Khan, of actively working to block his opportunities after he refused to direct "Dabangg 2".

Kashyap pointed to an earlier incident involving his brother, Anurag Kashyap, who was initially involved in the film "Tere Naam". According to Abhinav, Anurag forewarned him about potential difficulties in working with Salman. He stated that Anurag left "Tere Naam" due to mistreatment and was not given credit for his work.

Salman Khan has responded to these allegations, seemingly addressing them on a recent episode of "Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar". When asked about sabotaging careers, Salman Khan said, "Which career have I sabotaged? The one who makes or breaks careers is God. I am not someone who ruins careers. If I could do that, I would ruin my own career first”. He also added, "Sometimes, I get complacent, but then I leave that alone, and then I try to hold grip of them again".

The feud between Abhinav Kashyap and the Khan family has been ongoing for several years. In 2020, Kashyap had also accused the Khan family of sabotaging his career. These recent statements have reignited the controversy, bringing the accusations back into the public eye.
