India has strongly criticized Pakistan's statements at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), with an Indian diplomat using the metaphor of a "dump truck" to describe Pakistan's practice of "depositing recycled falsehoods and stale propaganda". This sharp rebuke came in response to remarks made by Pakistan regarding India.

Kshitij Tyagi, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India in Geneva, delivered India's "Right of Reply" at the 60th Session of the UNHRC, following Pakistan's statements. Tyagi's remarks underscored India's position that it "doesn't need lessons from a 'terror sponsor'". He stated that Pakistan continues to finance and shelter terrorist networks that threaten global security.

Tyagi referenced specific instances to highlight Pakistan's involvement in terrorism, including the "carnage" in Pahalgam, where Pakistan-sponsored terrorists killed innocent tourists in April 2025. He also mentioned the 9/11 attacks, reminding the council of "the hypocrisy of those who sheltered its mastermind," a reference to Osama bin Laden, who was killed in Pakistan. Other attacks mentioned included Pulwama, Uri, Pathankot and Mumbai.

The Indian diplomat accused Pakistan of "feigning moral outrage while continuing to finance and shelter the very networks that threaten global security". He asserted that the international community recognizes Pakistan's "charade". Tyagi also addressed Pakistan's manipulation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as its "mouthpiece" and its "pathological fixation on India".

Tyagi reaffirmed India's commitment to protecting its citizens and defending its sovereignty. He declared that India will continue to expose Pakistan's "elaborate deception of a failed state whose survival depends upon trafficking in terror and tragedy".

This is not the first time India has used strong language to condemn Pakistan's actions at the UN. In the past, India has described Pakistan as "Terroristan" and accused it of "mainstreaming and upstreaming terrorists". Indian officials have also highlighted Pakistan's long history of using cross-border terrorism as a weapon against its neighbors. They have asserted that Pakistan "covets" Indian territory and uses terrorism to disrupt elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

India has maintained that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh "are, and always will be an integral part of the country". India has also warned Pakistan that cross-border terrorism will "inevitably invite consequences".

In July 2025, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, stated that Pakistan is "steeped in fanaticism and terrorism and a serial borrower from the IMF". He also said that those indulging in terrorism have no standing to lecture others on peace and security.
