Aryan Khan's directorial debut, "The Ba***ds of Bollywood," has been creating buzz since its release. The series, a satirical take on the Hindi film industry, blends real-life incidents with a fictional setting, offering viewers a glimpse into the world of Bollywood's nepo-kids, newcomers, and underworld connections.

The premiere of "The Ba***ds of Bollywood" on September 17th in Mumbai was a star-studded affair, drawing Bollywood luminaries and Aryan's classmates. One of Aryan's classmates, Rhea Goenka Jalan, shared her red-carpet experience, noting Shah Rukh Khan's pride and the afterparty that stretched until 4 am. According to Jalan, the entire industry seemed to have turned up to support Aryan on his big day.

"The Ba***ds of Bollywood" features Lakshya in the lead role, along with Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Rajat Bedi, and Gautami Kapoor in key roles. The series also includes cameo appearances by 21 celebrities, including Bollywood heavyweights like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh. Karan Johar also appears, playing a catty movie mogul.

Aryan Khan doesn't shy away from poking fun at himself, his past, and the industry he grew up in. The series includes personal references and experiences, with the first episode featuring a Sameer Wankhede look-alike playing an 'NCG' officer tasked with cleansing the country of drugs by raiding Bollywood parties. Another episode reopens the nepotism vs. outsider debate with a parody roundtable where star-kids narrate their 'struggles'. In one scene, a character is sent to lockup, and a cop tells him that people get 'more famous' after going in. The end of the first episode sees a character saying, "Say no to drugs!" immediately followed by the title card reading, "Directed by Aryan Khan".

The series also seems to fictionalize or dramatize several real-world controversies. For instance, the show recreates Shah Rukh Khan's Wankhede row, where he was banned from the stadium. Additionally, the series touches upon the Kartik Aaryan and Dharma Productions feud, depicting an outsider signing a Karan Johar's Dharma Productions film before being abruptly dropped from it.

Aryan Khan's liquor label, D'YAVOL, is prominently featured throughout the series, appearing in bar scenes, house parties, and action sequences.

"The Ba***ds of Bollywood" is described as witty, wicked, and a meta playground of live games where Aryan Khan seems to be having the time of his life. It provides an insight into the film industry and is a buffet of everything that made Khan more famous.
